01 / THE PROBLEM

The problem.

A material innovation has to make sense outside the lab. We needed to explain where mycelium packaging could create value and how it could reach the market.

02 / MY CONTRIBUTION

What I worked on.

    Worked with the team on the commercial story around the packaging prototype.

    Worked on how to promote the packaging and bring it to customers.

    Helped communicate the idea for the university-wide competition.

Where it stands.

Our team placed third in the UQ Sustainability Innovation Competition in March 2024. I worked on promotion, growth and the plan for bringing the packaging to market.
