MY STORY / BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

Engineering.
Building.
Getting involved.

I’m a final-year electrical engineering student at UQ. I work across software and hardware, meet clients through my engineering work and help students get involved in startups.

01 / HOW I WORK

From the circuit
to the product.

I started with hardware and embedded systems. Building web apps brought me into product work, where the technical decisions sit alongside the question of what people actually need.

Software for engineering work.

I’m building Trace around drawing markups and model review, informed by conversations with junior and senior engineers.

My engineering work includes embedded firmware, wireless communication and debugging physical systems.

Product research and pitching.

For Kite, I researched 50 companies, developed the pitch deck and worked with the team on a demo film in 48 hours.

02 / EXPERIENCE

Work and
leadership.

Engineering roles at Webb and QGE, alongside my work with UQ’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Society.

JUN 2026 TO PRESENT

Webb Engineering

Undergraduate Engineer

I work in communications and security engineering. My work includes document control, Revit drafting and technical site inspections, and I join client meetings to discuss project work.

MAR 2025 TO FEB 2026

QGE

Undergraduate Engineer

I prepared hazardous-area dossiers and classification drawings, built n8n workflows to process inspection data, and tested inspection platforms on iOS and Android. It gave me a chance to use automation in my day-to-day engineering work.

UQIES

Executive Team · Operations Portfolio

I help organise events for UQ’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Society. I research founders and investors for our panels, send tailored email and LinkedIn invitations, and track responses and next steps. I initiated Your Path Into Startups, recruited and briefed four speakers, and co-presented the evening while moderating the panel and audience Q&A.

03 / YOUR PATH INTO STARTUPS

An idea.
A room full
of people.

I wanted students to hear directly from people working in startups, including the ways in that don’t begin with founding a company.

From inviting speakers
to running the evening.

I organised and hosted the event through UQIES. I invited and briefed the four speakers, prepared the questions, presentation and interactive quizzes, and moderated the panel and audience Q&A.

Nirupam Peetha and I co-presented the program. We covered founding a company, joining a startup, learning more and investing. The aim was to give students a few practical ways to get involved.

04 / SAN FRANCISCO, JUNE & JULY 2026

Four hackathons.
A lot to learn.

I joined a cohort of 16 UQ students for two and a half weeks in San Francisco. We built, met people and pitched projects while they were still taking shape.

Wavelength came out of that trip. I led the computer vision implementation and worked across the full stack. Our team finished in the Top 7 and won Best UI/UX at the MLH × DigitalOcean hackathon.

05 / NOW: TRACE

From drawing markups
to model changes.

I’m building Trace, an early prototype for engineering drafting and review. Conversations with junior and senior engineers have shaped its focus on review, approval and data privacy. The Revit add-in and PDF workspace are in place; I’m still validating the complete workflow in Revit.
