01 / THE PROBLEM

The problem.

Checking personal protective equipment across a busy site is difficult to do consistently. The useful system needs to identify a potential issue and make it practical for a person to review.

02 / MY CONTRIBUTION

What I worked on.

    Co-founded the project and led systems planning, operations and hardware/infrastructure work.

  2. 02

    Planned how existing CCTV and RTSP streams could connect to an on-site inference system and compliance workflow.

  3. 03

    Contributed to a hackathon prototype demonstrating PPE detection on prerecorded footage, alongside the team’s computer-vision lead.

03 / PROGRESS & RESULTS

Where it stands.

We placed third out of 26 teams at the UQIES × January Capital × Lovable hackathon in June 2026. The prototype used recorded footage. Testing live camera streams and on-site processing was still to come. We pitched it as SiteGuard; it has since been called Clocked and Sentvel, and now Hard Hat.
